Good choice! You can get started by having your Tax File Number and identification handy.
To make switching easy, please provide us a list of all regular transactions from your previous financial institution.
Alternatively, click here to complete the form, return to us and we'll obtain a list on your behalf.
Once completed, simply give us a call on 13 11 82 or visit one of our branches.
Your Visa Debit or Credit Card should arrive between 7 to 10 business days after you order a card. If you have not received your card after this time, please get in touch.
On interest-bearing savings and transaction accounts we calculate interest on the closing daily credit balance of your account from the last day of the previous month to the second-to-last day of the month for which interest is being credited. If your savings or transaction account has an interest frequency other than monthly, interest is on the closing daily credit balance of your account from the last day of the month that interest was previously credited to the second-to-last day of the month for which new interest is being credited.
All you need to go contactless is your People First Bank (or People's Choice) card. You can use the card itself, or if you like you can set up Digital Wallet payments, which means you’ll be able to use a device, like your phone or smartwatch to pay.
A Birth Certificate is sufficient identification to open an account for a child.
