After you’ve submitted your online application, you’ll receive an automatic email acknowledging we’ve received your application. Our Talent Acquisition team will endeavour to be in touch within two weeks of the role closing. We don’t want to keep you waiting, so we aim to be in touch as soon as possible. 

If the right opportunity isn't available just yet, you can join our Talent Community and be notified about new job opportunities that may be a fit for you.  

Yes, you have to submit your application via the online vacancy portal at People First Bank. An online application form is required to identify your application in our recruitment system. Due to the large scale of People First Bank's recruitment activities throughout Australia, we are unable to accept or respond to email applications.

Yes, you are welcome to apply for multiple roles within our organisation. We encourage you to explore all positions that align with your skills, interests, and career goals. Each application will be reviewed individually to assess your fit for the respective roles.

You'll be asked to explain your motivation for the position - what it is that you are looking to gain from working with People First Bank, and you'll be asked to share your skills and experiences. Our interview questions are aligned to the position that you have applied for and may include technical, scenario and experience-based questions.  To prepare, we suggest you review the Position Description and think about some examples of the work that you have done that relate to the position. We are a values-based organisation, so we also recommend that you review these values and consider how your values align with ours. 

Psychometric assessments are standardised tests used to evaluate cognitive abilities, personality traits, and behavioural tendencies - they can include assessments of problem-solving abilities, verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, and personality fit, and may be used alongside interviews and other selection methods to provide a more comprehensive view of your potential for success in the role. 

We will conduct a minimum of two reference checks as part of our selection process. We require referees to be people who have supervised your work in a previous position preferably within the last three years. We won't be contacting your referees unless you are shortlisted for a position, but you should make them aware of your application with People First Bank. 

Yes, all team members who are employed must have the right to work in Australia. We will request documentation from you to demonstrate your right to work in Australia during the recruitment process. 

Yes, pre-employment checks are essential in maintaining the trust and security of our members, employees, and stakeholders. As a financial institution, we are committed to upholding regulatory standards and ensuring the integrity of our workforce. These checks help us create a safe and reliable environment, protecting both you and the people we serve. 

We recommend that you wait until you have received your official written employment offer prior to resigning from your current role.
